When HTTP Auth is enabled on a site, I'd like the ability to easily update the username and password used.
HTTP Auth is not security, it's more about stopping bots and such from accessing the site while the site is in development or otherwise.
Because of this, it would be ideal to change the username and password to something that can be easily remembered by myself and the client.

Can we hope to have this in the UI ? It will be super convenient :)
And even better if we can define a default username...

Hey all!
You can update this :). It's located at /etc/nginx/.htpasswd. You will need to use a tool to generate a hashed password, but it's easy to update. Here's a tool for generating: www.web2generators.com/apache-tools/htpasswd-generator
I also merged this with another request about creating custom users. You can definitely add users, and you can also lock down specific parts too. For example, we have a customer that is locking down wp-admin only as an extra layer of security.
We'll have KB articles on these subjects soon.
Cheers!

I think overall, each site should have its own login. Versus using a global password file. You should be able to edit the username and password for each site or use a default one.
