Primary Domain Name Change Skip Backup and Search-Replace

Provide an option to skip backups on primary domain name changes.

Why? If a site has an 8GB database and 20GB of files the backup will take some time to complete before the domain name change occurs. This could be up to 30 minutes.

Instead, the Primary Domain Name change should have an option only to change the webserver configuration files, which is instant. Versus, doing the search-replace for a domain name swap which requires a backup.

I'm afraid this one will never be implemented. Domain swaps are simply too destructive in nature, and if anything was to go wrong, it's bad for everyone - our support team, the account owner, their client, etc.

Thanks for replying Steve. I updated my original request to be more verbose. I can understand when search-replace is required, a backup should be made. However, when a simple webserver configuration is all that is required, then no backup should be needed.
