We use ANAME records via DNS Made Easy for the Snapshot Failover feature as seen in this guide gridpane.com/kb/snapshot-failover-and-dns-strategy/
ANAME is the correct method of assigning root and www to a failover-monitored subdomain akin to Cloudflare's CNAME Flattening for DNS Made Easy.
Currently, there's no method of updating ANAME through the Gridpane interface, so we have to separately share access to DNSME and login when changing these records.
